Biden-Harris Administration Announces the Re-Opening of COVIDTests.gov
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), recently announced the reopening of COVIDTests.gov to deliver COVID-19 tests for free to households across the country. This critical action secures approximately 200 million new over-the-counter COVID-19 tests, which will help mitigate the spread of the virus.
Four Free Tests
Households may now order four free tests through COVIDTests.gov. These tests will detect the currently circulating COVID-19 variants, are intended for use through the end of 2023, and will include clear instructions on how to verify extended expiration dates.
Here’s What You Need To Know About Your Order
- Residential households in the U.S. can order one set of #4 free at-home tests from USPS.com again. Limit of one order per residential address
- One order includes #4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests (COVIDTests.gov has more details about at-home tests, including extended shelf life and updated expiration dates)
- Please Note: Tests may show “expired” dates on the box, but FDA has extended those dates; see the full list of extended expiration dates.
