Spencer Elementary Presents Inaugural Black History Taste of History and Program
Spencer, OK – Spencer Elementary is proud to announce its inaugural Black History Taste of History and Program, taking place at 8900 NE 50th St, Spencer, OK 73084. This event promises an immersive experience celebrating African American heritage, featuring a sampling of delightful African American cuisine and a captivating program presented by students and staff.
Scheduled to take place on 02/29/2024, the event aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Black history within the Spencer school community. By showcasing the rich cultural heritage through food and engaging presentations, the event seeks to highlight the significant contributions of African Americans to our society.
“We are thrilled to host the inaugural Black History Taste of History and Program at Spencer Elementary,” said Mrs. Lucas, Family and Community Advocate at Spencer Elementary. “This event not only honors the legacy of Black history but also underscores the importance of family and community involvement in our students’ academic journey.”
The Black History Taste of History and Program is an opportunity for the Spencer community to come together, celebrate diversity, and support our students as they strive for academic excellence. Attendees will enjoy an evening filled with delicious food, inspiring performances, and learn about services and resources available to the community through Guiding Right and THRIVE CHWS.
