Oliver’s C.A.M.P. in coordination with the Clear Center and Guiding Right, Inc., has planned a fun-filled block party and community health fair for the citizens of Spencer, Oklahoma and surrounding communities. The FREE event is scheduled for 2-6 p.m., Saturday, May 13, at Spencer Elementary, 8900 NE 50th Street.

Highlights of the event include fun games; inflatables; face painting; a variety of food trucks; barbecue; snowcones; STEM activities; live music and line dancing. In addition, the event will feature a variety of free health screenings for children and adults including free routine childhood immunizations and free COVID-19 and flu vaccines. Free boxes of dry goods and produce will also be distributed while supply lasts. A variety of organizations will sponsor information booths at the event such as OU Cancer Center; Black CARE; Oklahoma City-County Health Department; Delta Dental; Guiding Right; the Clear Center and more.

The event is part of a larger effort to celebrate and strengthen Spencer’s historic Black community by gathering together for free food and fun while increasing awareness of and access to available healthcare services.
