Live Long and Positive
This program is a peer led support group for men and women of color infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. The purpose of the support group is to bring men and women of color living with HIV/AIDS together in a safe environment to talk openly about the challenges they face and learn skills to make informed decisions and choices without the stigma and discrimination that is often associated with the disease. Support for people living with HIV/AIDS can enhance their quality of life by providing them with the skills to prevent re-infection and to be pro-active about their health maintenance and create opportunities for them to reach other people living with the virus.
